Some Restaurants Ask You to Eat. Nosh Asks You to Stay.

There are restaurants where dinner is the destination.

Nosh on Naples Bay is different.

Here, the food is only part of the experience.

One of my favorite things about this corner of Naples is that it reminds me why so many people fall in love with our little slice of paradise. Boats drift quietly through the bay. Palm trees sway in the breeze. Friends linger over another round of drinks because nobody seems to be in much of a hurry.

And honestly...

That's part of the experience.

You don't even have to come for dinner to appreciate Nosh.

Some of my favorite visits have been during happy hour.

Order a couple of small plates.

Try a cocktail.

Sit outside if you can.

Watch the boats come and go.

Bring someone you genuinely enjoy talking to.

That's a pretty wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Naples.

One of my favorite recent visits was a foodie happy hour with members of SWFL FOOD LOVERS.

Chef Todd Johnson welcomed us with an incredible spread of appetizers before dinner, and the room was exactly what you'd expect when you put a bunch of people who genuinely love food around the same table.

Nobody was guarding their plate.

They were passing them around.

"You've got to try this."

"No...seriously. Take a bite."

Those are my kind of people.

The shrimp fritters immediately caught my attention.

Perfectly crisp on the outside.

Light.

Flavorful.

The kind of appetizer you start planning to order again before you've even finished the first one.

Then someone handed me a Wagyu Wonton.

Well...

There went my certainty.

One bite later, I was already wondering how I'd managed to come here so many times without ordering them before.

That's what Nosh does.

Every visit leaves me with another favorite. Not because the menu changes who they are. Because there's always something new waiting to surprise you. And somehow, it all feels perfectly at home alongside the view.

That's one of the things I admire most about Nosh. The menu never competes with Naples Bay. It complements it.

Beautiful food.

Beautiful surroundings.

Good conversation.

Nobody checking the time.

Nobody in a hurry.

We spend so much of life rushing from one thing to the next.

Nosh quietly reminds me that sometimes the best thing you can do is order one more small plate, stay for another conversation and watch one more boat drift across the bay.

I think that's why I keep coming back.

Not for one particular dish.

Because every visit feels like permission to relax and stay just a little longer.

And sometimes...that's exactly what we all need.
